Meet Lauren Amann, MS, RD, LDN

Founder of Balanced Elements Nutrition, LLC
Registered Dietitian | Culinary Creative | Nutrition Educator
Lauren Amann is a Registered Dietitian with a master’s degree in food & nutrition (dietetics concentration) and a bachelor’s in communications. Her experience spans community, clinical, sports nutrition, and food service. Once credentialed, she followed her gut (and her heart) into private practice, launching Balanced Elements Nutrition to help others find joy and balance in how they nourish their bodies.

Rooted in Food, Built on Vision
Lauren’s food story began in a bustling kitchen—her family’s restaurant—where buttered toast, Shirley Temples, and baked haddock sparked her lifelong passion. Raised in a lively household of eight, food was both comfort and connection.
Over the years, she’s honed her craft in cooking, baking, and kitchen experiments. Today, she juggles life as a mom of two, wife to a perpetually hungry husband, and dog mom to two eager snack collectors—all while exploring cookbooks and crafting meals that delight both eye and palate.
When she’s not in the kitchen, you’ll find her strolling grocery store aisles like art galleries, rearranging home décor, sneaking in at-home workouts or losing herself in the magic of Harry Potter and the coziness of fall. Faith, family, and food—those are her roots. Her creative side shines through in the recipes she brings to life, transforming cookbook and online finds into playful, mouthwatering works of food art —some of which are shared here on her site.

Nutrition isn’t about cutting out everything you love—it’s about learning what your body needs, how food supports you, and how to eat with purpose (and pleasure).
She takes a collaborative, compassionate approach—focused on mindful habits, realistic goals, and sustainable change. She’ll guide you to reconnect with your body’s cues, redefine your relationship with food, and discover your own version of balance.Lauren believes food should fuel your life, not control it.
She’s here to help you enjoy what you eat, trust your body, and build a way of living that supports both your health and happiness.
